cubase is not allowing me to record in 24/96. with the regular asio drivers selected in the device setup, i am only offered up to 16/44. with my lynx one card selected i am given the option of up to 32float/96. when i pick 24/96 an error message tells me sample rate cannot be set, and that the sample clock may be set to external. it's set to internal in cubase and in my soundcard mixer. it only let's me record 24/48. what am i doing wrong?

damnit

new software and new soundcard. troubleshooting this problem is killing me.

The actual card's settings must be set to internal, unless you're using an external clock or digital source....

Also, when you say "regular" ASIO driver, is it the fairly new aardvark driver? My cuz uses the 24/96 and I thought he was mentioning that the newer driver allowed him to get to 24 and 32bit floating recording.

thanks for helping

the clock is set to internal blue bear, it's not being accepted in vegas video or in cubase sx, as 24/96. it is only accepted up to 24/48. bass master are you saying that the asio drivers may be causing this problem? how many different types of asio drivers are there? you mentioned aardvark. is that a universal driver, or does every platform, software, or soundcard have it's own certain type of driver.
