Ok, I have a Fostex VM08 Digital Multitracker. I am having trouble. I can record a single track fine, but once I add a track, the previous track always records on the new track. How can I monitor (listen to) the first track while recording the second, without recording the first!?! Thanks guys

Yeah, it's a digital... and no one seems to talk on the fostex forum, haha. I don't think this is a fostex issue... I beleive I am just doing something wrong.

If you are over-dubbing, and I assume you are, you need to put your first or two first recorded tracks into a CUE mode....if you don't all kinds of weird things happen.

If you don't have a CUE mode on your recording box, then I don't know what else to say.

My MD8 has a CUE mode and recorded tracks must be put in that mode, and you use the CUE volume to hear them as you add a new track.

Check your manual.
