If anyone has any clues as to why I can't get CD audio happening I would be grateful. I have recently had to get the comp fixed by the techies and I've just got it back and it's behaving itself appart from CD audio. They had to uninstall previous soundcard drivers and update the SBLive drivers (Liveware3). I also had the APSLive drivers on the system which I'm not sure was a part of the problem or not. Any ideas? Cheers, Simon.

Well, assuming that you've got the CD Audio volume level up and not muted in your Live's volume mixer...

There's a little cord that goes from the back of your CD drive to the soundcard (either an analog or digital line depending on your setup). I often forget to reconnect this line when I install a soundcard, and of course you won't hear CD audio through the soundcard without it!

The newer versions of Winamp and the Windows Media Player will also play CD audio through the digital audio device without requiring a connection.

The guy who worked on my computer forgot to reconnect the CD audio lead. Cheers guys. :P
