Can't go wrong with a Shure...

Well you could point it the wrong way, or forget to turn on phantom power for a condensor.

But yeah I like shure too

You can go with the PG series or BG series...those are better than some starter stuff...but the wrong dirrection to take when the SM line is inexpensive enough.

I have most of the viable shure mics in my locker...and all of them are keepers...I just recently added the KSM44...KSM32...pair of SM81s...and I have had several SM57s...SM7....SM58...and I dont plan on selling any of them.

Can I have your Sm7 please? :)

I only own four microphones (well, five, but the Behri doesn't count as I would never actually use it to record anything). Three of those are Shure: 315, 55SH, 520DX.

I have owned:

SM7 (I forget with)
330
SM57
SM58
SM63
SM81
SM94
KSM27
KSM44
KSM141
Beta 52
Beta 57
Beta 58
MX391 (I think that's the right model)

There was another SM in there somewhere, a '70s-ish dynamic for tom mounting . . . I forget the details, but it was terrible. That was the only dog of the lot though, I liked the rest of 'em.

Oh wait! I had a 545 too. And one of the lapel wireless mics.

Go on, prove me wrong.

That's like saying you can't go wrong with a Neumann or AKG. Its a blanket statement and its complete crap. I wouldn't use an SM94 or Beta 52 on vocals and I wouldn't use a C12 on kick drum.

Right mic for the right source and you can't go wrong, otherwise you're just talking out your *ss.

Uh, yeah, it wasn't meant to be taken that seriously.

Is that guy with the mic down his throat okay?

Is it fake? Or real?

Oh my FUCKING GOD!!!!:D That poor woman!!!:p I was all set to come on and say some shit (should I be watching my mouth here? My dad was a sailor what can I say?) like though I was kidding and talking out my ass I stand by my statement etc. (I mean, who's ever seen a low quality Shure unless someone fucked ((oops, damn)) it up) but man, when I threw down the gauntlet to prove it wrong, you rose to the challenge and then some. She shure (heh) as fuck went wrong with that one, oh lord, eek and shit haha omg that poor poor woman, hope she was all right. Word of caution to anyone who hasn't seen this, don't eat anything while watching this, I'm not kidding haha oh god!
Ps Thought that was a woman with a dykey haircut, my bad. Huh, what that says about me good lord.

I think it's fake. Like, unless it was cordless there would be a cord.
Also, the way the person pushes away the stand, I think you'd be rather on the florr dying than showing anger and having the time to push the stand away. I reckon maybe the mic hit him in the throat and fell off.
