I just bought Delta 66 sound card with the OMNI i/o box. For some reason I am unable to get any sound into the computer with this card.

The playback is OK. The LED on the OMNI indicates that the microfone is live and working. Yet, the PC does not "hear" anything.

Does anything know how to set up Delta with Omni?

thanks,

Iggi

Welcome to the board, Iggi...
What's your OS ? And what's your audio recording application software ?

Delta 66/Omni setup

It's Windows XP professional. The card shows OK in the device manager. I have n-Track that I used a few years back without any problems (under Windows 98)

Now I upgraded it to Version 3 and installed it under Windows XP.

I tried Windows Sound Recorder as well, just to try to get the sound in. Nothing. Neither n-Track studio nor Sound Recorder respond to the Delta / Omni.

The Delta monitor mixer shows no activity. It comes alive during playback, however.

I have tried various settings in the Patchbay/Router but nothing seems to work.

I appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks.

Check your device setup in n-track make sure the right one is enabled.

Thanks but there is a whole lot of options in n-Track's Audio Recording devices box:

M Audio Delta ASIO
MME: M Audio Delta 66 1/2
MME: M Audio Delta 66 3/4
MME: M Audio Delta 66 Mon. Mixer
MME: M Audio Delta 66 Multichannel
MME: M Audio Delta 66 S/PDIF
MME: Wave Mapper
WDM: M Audio Delta 66 1/2
WDM: M Audio Delta 66 3/4
WDM: M Audio Delta 66 Mon. Mixer
WDM: M Audio Delta 66 Multichannel
WDM: M Audio Delta 66 S/PDIF

My microphone is plugged into mic input 1 so I selected MME: M Audio Delta 66 1/2, but I have also tried the other options. No go.

What do the MME and WDM mean?

They refer to the type of drivers availble-

Check you Sound & Recording thingy in the control panel, and see which you're using. Make sure they sync up.

I don't know if N-Track supports MME or not, but it should definately support WDM

Delta drivers issues are rough.....make sure to go to the maudio webpage and make sure you have the most updated

Good Luck
Chris
