can't get a good sound with fruity loops....

....i dont know if it's just me, but i can't seem to get a good boom bap hip hop sound out of FL.......

any advice for a newbie?
 
Fruity Loops is dependent on sample quality....if you are unhappy with the sounds being made, it is an issue with the samples, not Fruity Loops....search the web for better samples.....

go to www.google.com and search "samples audio free" or "drum samples free"

There are some Tom Hicks samples that are great but I don't see them around anymore. I have them but would hesitate to offer them up without Mr Hicks approval.
Maybe someone here knows where you can get them ...

I actually noticed a big difference in sound between my SB Live and my Aardvark DP2496. Don't actually know if, in the end, it will all sound the same though. Just my 2 cents.
