Someone had already asked this question...however...they answered it for themselves and of course did not post the answer...:)

I recently purchased the 0404 and received a copy of Cubasis VST with it and the soundcard works with it just fine...when I try to get it to route into Audition it just will not work...any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Go into the PatchMixer

1. Find the "PCI Card In L" strip in the PatchMixer application. Adjust the "PAN" knob all the way to the LEFT so that it reads "-90".

2. Find the "PCI Card In R" strip in the PatchMixer application. Adjust the "PAN" knob all the way to the RIGHT so that it reads "90".

3. In the PatchMixer's "Main Inserts" section right click your mouse pointer on one of the insert slots. A menu will pop up. You will then want to select "Insert a Send" and then you should choose "HOST WAVE L/R". If this is ghosted, it means that it's being used on another strip. If this is the case, find it and drag and drop it into above mentioned insert slot.

4. Make sure that your 0404 is the selected recording and playback device in Cool Edit Professional. You should now be able to receive a signal(s) from your inputs(s).

5. In Cool Edit Professional Multitrack mode, you will need at least two tracks. Click on the "Rec" button for one of the tracks and specify "E-DSP Wave" and "Left Channel". On the other track specify "E-DSP Wave" and "Right Channel".

You should now be able to record both analog inputs simultaneously.

Spaz,

If there was a way to buy you a drink I would do it...!

You were totally on the money with that one my friend...I'm getting a signal now...thank you thank you thank you!

BTW...I was in a road band years ago that was touring through Texas around the same time that Dime first started touring with Pantera, we used to play a lot of the same clubs and got to know each other in that rival band kind of way.

My band broke up and of course Pantera went on to become the great metal band that they were...I was hanging out in a club down in Dallas one night (Dallas City Limits...I even played there a few times with a band called Voodoo Militia) since I was dating this hot little bartender I got to hang inside the club after they closed...well...here comes Dime and Vinnie who were in town recording and I'll be damned, Dime totally remembered me!...knew my name and everything...i probably hadn't seen him in 5 years.

I got to hang around with the brothers a bit as one of my best buds who was also a bartender was their FAVORITE bartender and so I got to re-kindle my friendship with Dime for a short while.

I got older...moved to Tulsa...got married and had a whole slew of kids, quit doing the band thing and just fooled around with recording for myself...and didn't really think about Dime all that much until I heard the horrible news.

Such a great guy...such a total waste...:(

Anyway...it always blew my mind that he had remembered me.

Thanks again for the help...:)
