Hi,
I have the Yorkville YSM1p Active Near-Field Reference Monitors. They have a limiter on them and also they have a clip light to show when the speakers are clipping. I think that they will actually shut down when they begin to clip......
now is it still possible to blow them then?
I haven't seen the clip light come on once since I've bought them .
I've just noticed some distortion when I'm tracking guitar..The meters on my tascam 788 are well under 0 but I hear a lot of distortion. They seem to rattle a little also....
but when I play back the recording I don't hear any distortion
Is digital distortion bad for monitors?
I also have noticed that one of the monitors is rattling a little, which seems to be coming from the amp on the back.
Well if anyone can help me out that would be great.
