Hi I can get the two files to play mixed but the problem is saving them into a wave or mp3 format so they stay thatway.

Any Help is greatly apprecaited

Thanks in advance

Are you trying to export a mixdown?

File > Export > wav

I probably wouldn't be able to help anyways, but a little more info would be most helpful.

I am just trying to combine two wave files so that the sound overlaps. I took them both and used insert wave file to put them inthe mixer. I then overlapped the two files and I hear both versions fine but I cant get it to save as a wave file.

When you've got the two tracks in Multitrack, click Edit>Mixdown to File. You can choose to mix the two tracks down as a mono file or as a stereo file.

It'll take the mixdown into Edit view, where you'll have to save it.

I went through the help file and there is nothing that really explains this on a task to task basis. I need like a step by step quick example, the rough edges I can get in time, but not knowing if I am doing it right from the start is the difficult part.

Appreciate youre help!!

Seriously, I already told you how to do this.

In multitrack view, go to File, Export, wav. It will prompt you to name the file your saving it as. It's really not dificult at all.

Maybe, but I think Hattrick's trying to do a mixdown. If we knew what he/she was trying to do, we could tell him/her. ;)
