Hi tro all forum mates,

I have soundblaster soudcard not built in PCI. What actually will make a hiss/distortion free/good sound quality mixing particularly when mixing my vocals only. What actually needed to do that?I do not have a mixer and it will be a direct plug in to pc soundcard?

Love to all forum mates.

Blessings!

Even if someone comes along with mindblowing stats and statistics, it's just not the most ideal way forward.

What actually needed to do that?
A decent enough microphone and a simple usb audio interface will get you a lot of the way there.
For example, rode nt1a and a tascam us-122.

Don't forget, what you hear is just as important as what you record.
Have a think about speakers/monitors/environment etc.

If it's just straight forward voice work then quality headphones may be a good solution.

Soundblaster cards do not have a mic preamp - they are made for gaming or video surround-sound. read the sticky posts at the top of the Newbies section of these forums about computer recording. As said already, you need a USB Audio Interface and a half-decent microphone.
