can motu pci-x be connected?????

hi , yeah new guy, i just bought motu 24o/i with pci-x 424 and new pc with sabertooth x58 motherboard , guy who put it all 2gether couldnt install pci-x and said the card was f**d , someone else says its fine that guy put it in wrong slot , ive read up a bit and it looks like i need pci-e card , can anyone put me straight on this please??? will the pci-x link to sabertooth x58 motherboard or not????? yes or no will do , many thanks , manor
 
Maybe you can trade the PCI-x back in for the PCIe version? Its the better choice moving forward...
