Can I use Cubase SL to edit a .wav file, or should I remix?

I’ve mixed down a song in Cubase SL to .wav format. I now realize I didn’t trim the ends enough (i.e. to reduce the length of the silence at the beginning and end of the song). Is it possible to trim a .wav file in cubase, or do I need to mix the song down again, or is this where I should export the .wav to cool edit/audition or something and trim it there before burning to an audio CD?

Similarly, I notice there is too much medium/low end in the mixed down song. Can I reduce the medium/low of the .wav file in Cubase or do I need to fix it before mixing down?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance, and all the best.

Yes, you can import the file in a new Cubase project and then, you can work with your wav file.
I think that if you want to reduce your mid/low, you can simply apply an EQ on the track where you imported the file!
