HI!

I would like to try using the pitch editor function thing in cakewalk, but have no idea where to begin. I have a nice chorus going on and just can't quite get the right note...is this a pipe dream, or can i use it to 'tweak' the 'ill' note into shape?

Check this out...you'll hear the bad notes....can i do it??? can i do it???

Ah Realese

Please tell me it's possible...PLEASEEEEEEE!!!

Yes! It is possible!

That said, I've only really tried it in Cakewalk 9, and I found it hard because I had to guess how many cents to raise it. If I remember, it didn't show the instantaneous pitch of the waveform in any way. So I listened-- my note was flat a bit -- so I selected the part of the waveform where that note was held, and I bumped it up a bit, and listened back. Not enough... repeat...
etc. until it sounded OK.

The best technology in pitch shifters is your throat!
Sing it again! and Again and again and again...

Just hit record and let it go!

Thanks!!!

@Al Chuck! OK! it CAN be done, i can do the guesstimation thing. Thanks for the heads up. Wish me luck.

@A1MixMan

Thanks for the compliments and also. For the most part. I'll repeat a line over and over till i can hit the note, but I SWEAR, i don't know what's wrong with me. I know WHAT it should sound like, but for some strange reason...I am having a SERIOUS issue eeking the darn note out...it's like i don't have enough control to hit it dead on FIRST...i can slide into it...but i don't like how that sounds...then i got really sneaky and what you hear now is me sliding into it, then trying to snip out the first portion of the off note, but you STILL can pick up the FLAT!!! Unless that's what I think. If y'all aren't hearing the out of tune thing going on...I may just leave it. Let me know.

I was trying to tell you earlier on today that AlChuck will probably answer your question for you. Or Bruce. :D

I know....GREAT!!!

Yup! Life is lovely. Welcome me to the world of pitch modification!!!
