I have one just like it that I bought from a second hand music store. I use it for mic'ing amplifiers for recording electric guitar. I've done extensive web searches and even asked the same question you did on this bbs over a year ago and never got a response. I continue to research though, if I find out anything I'll let you know. In my opinion, it's a good dynamic mic.

Well it is obviously an outdated beyerdynamic microphone. I bet if you e-mailed info@beyerdynamic.com they might be able to get you a spec sheet on it.
Taking a guess that this is a predecessor to the current M201TG then you would use it in situations similar to a SM57

im really hopeing that it is a lost gem that is worth $1,150 so i can sell it and get a soundelux u195,but ill let it go for $800.
