I just found these while searching through my attic... They appear to be old, I'm guessing from around the 80's, but they are completely unopened and brand new. I couldnt find any information about any of these online, thought maybe some of you might know. This is what I found, they were all made in Japan by a company called AIWA:

Stereo Cassette Deck FX-W500

Stereo Turntable System LX-770

Remote Control Unit RC-R77W

Stereo Integrated Amplifier MX-550

Stereo Tuner TX-770

Speaker System SX-50

Can anyone help me out? Are these worth anything?

Aiwa made(makes) decent stuff. See if it works.

Thats the thing... I have no idea how.. these dont take TRS or TS or anything... they take something that looks similar to a MIDI cable, but I know it isnt MIDI... Im positive they do work though, they still havent been removed from their plastic bags... so do you think I could sell them for much?

what you are looking at is a DIN socket , used for line in/out chores about 25 years ago on audio equipment ;)

It's just home stereo stuff. If everything is sealed, you might find a DIN connector to hook it up with.

The AIWA stuff was fine but it wasn't anything special.

STOP!

Leave all the stuff in it's original, unopened state. Carefully move all the packages into a secure, climate-controlled storage area. Wait a few more years or until Aiwa bankrupts or something then sell on Ebay. ;)

How did it get up the attic without being used or even opened?

Was it going to be set up but a family split put an end to it? Was it a parental confiscation? Was it an unwanted gift or maybe even 'hot' property put up there til it was safe, but then forgotten about?

That's far more intreuging than the specifications of the units themselves!
