Im currently workin on a project which envoloves arranging midi! Im writting a backing track for a skunk andasie song.
I need to put a key change in! I know what the key change is but as I dont play the piano or read music Im finding it hard to work out what the chord is!
So is there a web site any where with chord patterns on for the piano??

many thanx

Yo Senor LOCO:

If you know what key you're in, one common change is to take it one one full step.

Thus, if your were in the key of C, one step up would be the key of D.

If your were in the key of G, one step up would be the key of A.

I'm sure that Gidge would have some site for you for more help.

If I remember correctly, another commonly used key switch is to go to the relative key of one key.

One example would be to go from the key of C to the key of Eb or the other way around.

Help me out troops if I've got it wrong. It's been a while since I hit the books.

>I know what the key change

In MIDI, if you know what the key change is (how many half-steps) then you can just transpose by selecting the notes and then doing a "transpose" on them.
