I was out shopping for a computer case the other day and I found one that had 6 bays on it and a 400 watt power supply.

I was noticing the duplicators in the catalogs that costed 5000.00 and up.

Whats to keep one from filling up all those bays with cd burners(1 master and 5 slaves) to make several copies at once of our cd's?

the cost would be 500.00 to convert my computer to do this task.

Your software will allow you only to burn one at a time. And can you imagine how fast your system has to be if you want to run five programs silmuntaniosly.

The software may be tricked into thinking that all of the slaves are the same drive couldnt it?

If you can find a SW that supports multiple burners, there should be nothing stopping you. Keep in mind thought that you only have foir IDE channels and one at least of them is used by your HDD(s). Maybe a PCI IDE card works or you have to go SCSI.

It's all up to the SW though. Trying to run several copies of the same program will most likely not work though.

Maybe a mirrored setup with CD burners...hmm
