Hi Folks,
I seem to have trouble uploading to Soundclick before 9pm. Hassle.
Still, I've applied your ideas & having had some bother tred something a little different as well. Have a listen & tell me how it comes out.
The low Vocal version isn't attached sorry, - I opted for the shorter piece in hope that the problems uploading might go away.

Best one yet. Seems the vocals are smoother, and cleaner. They fit better. I think you have a good mix of all the instruments now. They seem to have all their own space, and are clear for me to hear. Vocals are much better. I understand the words, and they seem to be more in the song, and not behind or on top of it.

Best one yet man. I'd be pretty darn happy with it.

Yes sir rayc - good mix. Compared to the last one I downloaded, I'm hearing cleaner vocals with more highs and less lows. Vocals still sitting well in the mix too.

I'm also getting a bit more highs on the overall mix. I notice the reverb tails seems to be brighter and cleaner (but not overdone). The reverb was there before but it was not as clean.

Volume is louder, and mix is bigger - did you work some mastering magic on this?

Mix sounds good......bravo sir!

:) :D :) :D

Thanks Again Folks.

Thanks Fellows,
I applied all the little nuance touches, lifts & tucks and really wasn't getting any closer so I did a little last resort trick that I've not used before.
I put a very light touch of sonic maximizer on the final mix. It actually ampplified some of the noise I was attempting to deal with (listen around the edges of each phrase in the intro solo) but did lift the vox in just the way you were describing as well as sitting them in the mix a litlte better so I think I'll go with this one.
That's one for experience - sometimes plug in gadgets can help a little.
Thank you all for your input.
We've come up with a servicable ship of the desert.

Bump ... any final comments?

Yeah I like what you did here, the vocals fit much better from version 4 to 5 in my opinion. Cool stuff, I'm out of suggestions now ;)

OK Folks,
