hmmm i just notice something my firebox has no vents..but if u still got your box or look at the stock picture notice there are vents in the middle on top of the box. does yours have those vents on top?

Mine doesn't have any vents on top. That's strange...

I don't know that this is necessarily the case (pun intended) with the Firebox, but it's not all that unusual for the promotional photos of electronics gear to be taken of a prototype model before the product is in full production, so that they have time to get the pictures out to the retailers and the box/manual/brochure printers before the device hits the market. It could be that the prototype had vents but by the time the unit made it to the production line the vents were removed.

Just one option.

That very well could be the case. I've never encountered another Firebox in person, so I don't know if most have vents or not.
