This is the first project I did on my new Digidesign HD1 System. Tell what you think on my mix.

Personal Comment: I can hear that each instruments occupy a wide space including the vocal compare to a typical commercial recording. I dont know if thats fine or not but I can hear the difference. If not, tell me how to free up some space, especially the vocals. If you dont hear anything bad, just let me know THNX

Great mix, sounds excellent on my system. Don't worry about the seperation. The only thing that threw me off was the video sync with the sound. If you want video, the music must be in sync. I listened again with my eyes closed and it;s great.

You have a really great singing voice. I had never heard this song so I listened to Rihanna's version on YouTube for comparison. I felt like you made the song your own, which is what singing is really all about. Great job!

Yes very nice voice. Personally I prefered the instrumentation spread wide. I know what you mean by commercial recordings, a lot of stuff these days is almost mono. Often that's because often it'll be listened to on radios with a single speaker and stereo mixes don't always translate well. This mix seems very well balanced and the performance was great.
