Recording with Cakewalk...I noticed that when you record a track (using digital audio) that it stores the actual wave sound and the picture of the clips into seperate folders on my hard drive.

My question though is that the names it gives to these files are completely unidentifiable as to which song or track they belong to...and my question is that if I record something and then delete the main file, how do I delete the audio waves and picture files that were also saved when I made the track in the beginning? It's not a problem yet, but if it saves EVERY single wave from every little track I record onto the hard drive, it will eventually fill up!

Thanks,

Cakewalk has a uitlity built-in that does the clean-up for you, I believe it's called "Clean Audio Disk," I think under the Tools menu?

There is also a program available for downloading from the Cakewalk web site called Cakewalk Audio Finder (CWAF). This program will tell you which .wav files are associated with which project files (.wrk .cwp).

The picture files (.wov) are much less troublesome. They can be deleted anytime you want. Cakewalk will simply redraw them as required.
