Cakewalk/Sonar Audio in Port

I have recently reinstalled Cakewalk Pro 9 because my hard drive needed to be reformatted. I am starting from scratch setting up audio and found that after selecting all the drivers for my sound card (MOTU 24i with PCI-324 Card) that only the midi ports show. Before I was able to select the audio in a track's port so that I can either import audio or record audio. Please help! Does anyone know what I may have missed?

What do you mean by this? And which version of Cakewalk do you really use, Sonar or PA9?

In Sonar you need to create an audiotrack first. ;)
In PA9 you must select the drivers in Options -> Audio -> Drivers, and then you can select Wave in the track.
 
Thanks for your reply Moskus. I'll try to be more clear.

I have used Cakewalk for over 10 years and been using Pro9 up until 2 months ago when I started with Sonar. I was experiencing the inabililty to install after reinstalling operating system and the directx problem I posted earlier. So I reverted back to Pro9 for the time being. This is where I found another unusual problem. I've recorded audio in both and realize how Sonar works with needing to specify which type of track you're recording (audio or midi) But as for Pro9...

I've selected all the drivers for the tracks of my sound card in and out and the wave does not appear as an option under the track's port field. Whereas, before I reinstalled my operating system, it did. I have everything set up the same so I don't know why it's not detecting the PCI-324 Wave driver it did before. Do you have any other suggestions? I appreciate your help. Thanks,
 
Since you have re-verted back to Pro Audio 9, did you remember to install the MME drivers for the soundcard. As Pro Audio 9 does not recognize WDM drivers. In switching back and forth this could be easily overlooked.

Aren't the MME drivers contained within same files as the WDM drivers? In Sonar you can switch between WDM, ASIO and MME and you never need to change drivers. I assumed they were all contained within the same driver file.

According to Microsoft, you should think of WDM-drivers as an extention to MME-drivers. Therefore if you have WDM-drivers installed for a soundcard, you have MME-drivers too. :)
 
This may or may not be 100% true. But, I would still try to use the drivers that I knew to be working when previously using CA9 and your particular card. These were serving you with good results and were most likely "pre WDM". Maybe this would get you back to work.
