Cakewalk sonar acting wierd

i am using cakewalk sonar and i really like it but when i try to save it to a mp3 file my computer will freeze. the yellow staus bar comes up and it goes all the way to 100% but then my screen goes completley black and my comp stomps responding, even ctr+alt+del won't work. got any ideas?

also why when i try to take a wrk file from sonar and use it on like guitar studio or viceversa, does it replace my tracks with silence?

I'll take a stab at the last question.

Your Guitar Studio Wave Data folder is in a different place than your Sonar Wave Data folder.

You have to establish a folder they both can share or go into Options->Audio in Guitar Studio and point it to the Sonar Wave Data folder.

First question. I'm not sure. Give us the details on your system.
CPU, RAM, HD, etc.
