Hello First at all , I'm Using Cakewalk homeStudio 9 , Because I was having problem with Sonar ... anyway.
and this since i got Win XP..
I'll tell you my lil-problem . Exemple : I'm Recording the Lead Guitar on the first Track ( using SB AUDIGY ).. after I select the second track press record for the recording of my second guitar parts i heard the first track on my headphone , record my second part..and this is where the problem is.. when i listen after to the song i hear my first track also on the record of the second . I know that the problem is that my sound card record what's playing on my headphone and what' im playing on my guitare beacause both use the sound card..but i dunno how to set it right.... look like my computer record the first track on the second one plus what im playing... maybe because im using the same sound card for listen and record?!?!

Sorry for my Bad English! Im canadian :P msg me on MSN at Suchrush@msn.com

I suspect that you have the "What U Hear" setting enabled on the SB Audigy (assuming they still call it that), so it always records everything that's going through it at a given moment. You need to set it to record from the Line In only, or from the MIDI synth only when you want to record any MIDI tracks to audio...

See this article at Cakewalk's website: http://www.cakewalk.com/support/lessons/windowsmixer.asp

Don't use "What U Hear" as your recording source, use Line In. You change this in the Windows Mixer or Creatives Surround Mixer (in AudioHQ).
