cakewalk problems

I recently started using cakewalk and I need some advice. I have recorded a song on a BR-8 and I want to send the tracks to my PC through Cakewalk. I can sync everything fine, but, when I playback a track it cuts off the first second or so of the recording. Also, I have the "unwanted phaser effect." If anyone could provide advice, I appreciate it. Thanks.

Sounds like you have cakewalk set to count in the first measure. Check under Options->Project... and under the metronome tab to see if count in is set to 0, if not, set it to 0 and try again.

I dont know what would cause the phaser effect.

ok, I figured out the cut off problem. And I'm using midi sync now, so the phaser effect is gone. But I have another problem. When I add another track to the song, it isn't in perfect sync with the track already on there. For example, I put the drums over to Cakewalk, then I put the bass guitar over and the two aren't in sync. Please help.
