Cakewalk Pro audio 9

I cannot record in 24 bit without a totally distorted sound I 've tried everything any clues ?????

Echo MIa is the card I'm using I've tried a M-audio & Terratec as well. I've installed the current drivers I've change the IRQ. I disabled the sound blaster card. I can record in 16 bit.

Sprocket, like dachay2tnr said in your post in the Cakewalk forum... Check your input levels,.. are you sure you're not in the red?

double posting

I wasn't sure if this was a sound card or cakewalk issue sorry
the levels are not in the red until the record button is pressed then everything goes haywire. the levels in the Mia mixer are fine only the cakewalk levels go nuts.
