Is Cakewalk Pro 8 compatable with Windows XP? Anybody? (You all are probably watching the Super Bowl...LOL) Thanks in advance. ~~Lee

...it's not written so on their website, but I believe if Cakey 9 works, then it works... I run Cakey Pro 3 (...yes.. THREE, the last generation of MIDI only Cakey ) no problem at all in XP. However, you're not going to gain benefit of WDM driver with those...

.....so what you are saying is that it SHOULD work, but the sound quality will be similar as before??? (What is a WDM driver?) Pardon the ignorance. :) Thanks ~~~Lee

In theory it should work, but come on, it's computers. ;) You never can tell what'll work and why that is.

I don't think you will get better soundquality, but that depends on your soundcard. WDM is a short for Windows Driver Model, and with these drivers Sonar can run with low latency.

Thanks.....once again!!! :)
