You can not print Piano Roll view. But you can print staff view... ;)

I am aware that there is no facility in Cakewalk for printing out Piano Roll . But I was hoping that someone had created a piece of software that would do the job.

You can of course take some screenshots and just print them...

Perhaps I should explain the reason for wanting to print piano roll.
I need to print out on continuous paper a template for music played on a mechanical Organ which uses Paper rolls similar to a Pianola so that a midi file can be converted to piano roll and then punched out to play the Organ.

   Are you kidding??? I have never heard of that before!! Are you saying that a printed out piano roll view can be punched out, just like it is, loaded into a sort of player-piano type apparatus, and actually make this organ play? Correctly? That is wild, wild stuff, and I gotta be the first to cast my vote that this ain't gonna work!! Mind you, I know absolutely nothing about what you're trying to accomplish, but I just don't see how that's gonna fly. How do you know how big to print it? Please keep us posted on this one. I've been kinda in the mood for something different around here lately!!

NO I AM NOT KIDDING.
It is being done NOW in Mechanical music Circles but not with Cakewalk.
It is accomplished with programmes that have been written by owners of mechanical instuments ,and the music rolls are being punched out automatically with computer controlled punching machines.similar to the Jaquard punch cards that were possibly the forerunner to the modern computer The trouble is that they are out of my reach budget wise.
I have got a programme that I have used for a number of years that will will print out a piano roll template. but the trouble is that it is DOS based and I have now got endless problems since upgrading to XP having got rid of the old computer that it worked OK on. ( Please dont reply get it back then)
I use Cakewalk to create midi files and it would be ideal if someone who contributed to this forum had created a programme that would allow me to print out piano roll like you can print Staff view. I know it is a long shot but thought it was worth a try.
I hope this explains the reason for my request

Why don't you configure your computer to have a dual boot scenario to allow you to run your old DOS software and XP?

Why not just add support for the MIDI standard?
