I am new to the computer recording scene and am having a problem with Music Creator. For some reason when I record more than one track, I get bleeding of the sounds from one track to the other.
I am also having problems "automating" my mixes and the manual is kinda vague on how to do this. Can anyone help???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

tama you have to give a little more info if you need help, like what are you recording with, guitar, is it acoustic, a mic etc. as far as automating i have sonar 2.0 xl and if its the smae on music creator just go the the mixer view and if its the volume you wanna automate right click on the volume slider for the track you wanaa automate and choose arm for automation then look up by your controls and wright next to the record button is the automation record button, when you push this the song will start to play and it will record any movement you make in that slider. if your still haveing problems with this let me know and ill type it out of my sonar power book word for word for you. good luck and god bless tim pate

Tama - are you using a Soundblaster card. If so, the bleed is a pretty common problem. Go to your mixer (either the Windows mixer or the Soundblaster mixer) and look at your recording source. It sounds like you might have "What U Hear" checked as the recording source. If so, your software will record all sounds that go through the soundcard (i.e., new track AND old track). Change the setting to either "Line In" or "Mic In" depending on what input of your soundcard you are connected to.

Hey Flash, Thanks for writing back. I have been recording using some loop cd's and an electric guitar. I currently use the Soundblaster Audigy with the knock-out box for hooking -up midi, guitars, etc. I have also had some problems hooking a Boss Dr-5 to the midi jacks on the Audigy...can anyone help there??? I hope that's a little more info that will help. Once again, I'm kinda new to this so please bear with me. And I appreciate your help.
Dachay, a big thanks to you too for writing. I will definitely check out what you mentioned. I am using SB Audigy, should I go to the Audigy mixer to adjust. I think I did see that I had "What you hear" selected from the dropdown. I'll try it out. Any suggestions for connecting a drum machine(Boss Dr-5) to the midi jacks on my Audigy. I put the outs to in and ins to out but did not herar anything.
Thanks again,
