NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I EXPERIENCED SUCH DREAD WITH A PROGRAM. DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol this program is CRAZY. im trying to sync CW to an XP 60 so when i press PLAY on cw the xp60 starts to play. so far no one has been able to help me. i need SPECIFIC step by step instructions on how to do this. i am flying back to california monday night so i need to get this done before i leave idaho. here is how i have the XP60 configured
midi out of xp into midi in of soundcard.midi in of the xp to midi out of the soundcard.
the xp is set to PERFORMANCE: PR-A:12 POP SET
the xp SETUP is:
sync mode:slave
sync output
n
throughff
mmc outputff
on the xp MIDI pallete the following are made for all the channels.
RX:ON
TXON
LOCAL:OFF
this is how CAKEWALK is setup.
TRACK-->PROPERTY-->PORT:<MIDI>DELTA MIDI AP(soundcard)
" "SOURCES: "TRACK" 1-16 ARE SET FOR "SOURCE" MIDI CHANNELS 1-16.
WHEN I DOUBLE CLICK ON "SOURCE" IN THE TRACK VIEW ARE THE FOLLOWING SCREEN POPS UP:
"TRACK PROPERTIES"
this is how it is configured for all the tracks 1-16. however i will provide the settings for 1 but these settings are the same only the numbers change for each track. basically track 2 will have source channel and channel set to 2 and track 3 will have all the settings set to 3:
TRACK 1-
source:midi channel 1
port:delta ap
channel:1
for sync settings cake walk is set as follows:
OPTIONS-->PROJECT-->CLOCK:internal
" " MIDI INPUT:"RECORD AND ECHO MIDI CHANNELS. BOXES 1-16 ARE CHECKED. ECHO MODE IS SET TO NONE. ECHO MAPPING IS 0.
" "MIDI OUT:TRANSMIT MIDI START/CONTINUE/STOP/CLOCK is checked.midi output port is set to 0.
i have tried to change the sync settings to clock : AUDIO and MIDI. however when i press play cakewalk says its waiting. this is the best explanation i can give about how i have things setup.
