I want to upgrade to Home Studio 2002, but I'm concerned that its inability to support multiple I/O simulataneously will not let me hook up both 1 digital input and 1 analog input to an Audiophile 2496 card and AT LEAST listen to both inputs at the same time.

If I can't record both inputs at the same time, no big deal, but I really need to be able to 'hear/monitor' all inputs at once. Does anyone know if this will be possible, perhaps in general, but specifically with Home Studio 2002??

Thanks!!

I'm currently using Home Studio 9. I want to either get Home Studio 2002 or Sonar. I'm just wondering you necessary is the multiple I/O feature of Sonar?

Thanks for your help. I guess I'm still looking for an answer to one of my questions:

Can you mix analog and digital in order to monitor them while recording them?

If not, couldn't I buy the Delta Dio 2496, since that one clearly seems to have a monitoring capability?

By the way, does an Audiophile 2496 or similar card support soundfonts through Cakewalk like the Sb-Live! does??
