Anybody using Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro? I'm thinking of upgrading to it and was curious about how its working for other folks.

Thanks,
Glen

It is a suped up version of GT2.. I have it but upgraded on by to Home Studio 2002.. GT Pro is a ver ysimple program to run and it supposedly allows you to stretch wav files but I guess there are a few bugs in tht feature,
I went with HS2002 because it is midi capable, allows you to change the tempo and/or key of imported loops and last but not least price:D

I may go with HS2002 as well. I don't use a lot of Midi but would like to keep my options open. Is it 24/96?
Seems stable etc etc.?

Thanks for your help!

Glen

GTPro

Just started using it, with an Aardvark Direct Mix USB interface, on a PIII 500mhz, 256m RAM, W982d, 20 Gig HD. Works pretty well so far, but I am at the bottom of the learning curve and climbing slowly. My only other recording experience is with my old Tascam PortaStudio cassette rig, which I have learned how to use, sort of.

Love the Fruityloops machine and the Amp sims and Revalver, even though they are demos.

Can't get the guitar tuner to work, any suggestions? I have a friend who is using GTPro on a real dog of a system, and his works great.

Also, I would like to use GTPro (and the Aardvark USB) with my 200mhz Pentium MMX, 96 Meg RAM laptop, for field stuff. The specs on the card say it needs a 233 Pentium, minimum, but I wonder . . . both the Midiman Duo and Quattro say they will run on 200 Pentium MMX machines. Anyone have any experience?

FYI, I have started a new thread in the Newbies section on the topic of the Guitar Tracks/Aardvark USB bundle. Ya'll come!!
