On Cakewalk Guitar Studio, I was wondering how do you record a track while listening to another track at the same time.

I'm trying to record some leads on track 2 while track 1, my recorded rhythm guitar is still playing. Every time I try to record while listening to track 1, track 2 starts to record but cuts the sound off for track 1, so I can't hear track 1.

How do I resolve this??

I'm not familiar with Guitar Studio, but under CW PA9 there is a setting under Options -> Audio for "simultaneous record/playback". I would assume there is a similar setting with Guitar Studio. Try and find it and make sure it is checked.

You also need to have a full-duplex audio card. These days most of them are, but if your computer is a few years old you may not have one.

Yep, Guitar Studio has that same option in that dialog box located under the Advanced tab.

Best,
Scott
