For any Cakewalk & Audigy users out there: Can someone walk me through a simple signal flow chart between the app & the Surround Mixer? Wave/mp3 out & Record Source in Surround Mixer; & the Output Buss in Cakewalk, all affect my recorded signal (in Cakewalk), but I'd like to know how (& at what points in the signal flow) they affect each other. I am re-recording a soloed vocal track from Cakewalk, with Audigy reverb, into another Cake track. I have "What You Hear" selected as the Record Source in the Surround Mixer (along with the verb.) I understand that Wave/mp3 out controls the sound card output, but does Record Source actually control the soloed Cakewalk track gain (since that soloed track is the record source)? And how (& where) does the output buss in Cakewalk tie in? Sure would appreciate some input. Thanks.
