Cakewalk and (2) Laylas- cont'd.

Hi,

Cakewalk (9) for PC and two Layla 20 sound cards. Anyone using the same or similar? I need help getting Cakewalk to recognize 2nd Layla properly. I'm letting the PC use the on-board factory stereo sound card for default. This is my first experience trying to use two Laylas. Suggestions please.

Unless the Layla drivers allow for two cards, you won't be able to do it. In Cakewalk, you've got to pick only one interface.

Thanks for responding. According to Layla, it can be done and I have the latest version 5.06 driver. However, I'm not sure about Cakewalk. So far, Cakewalk is viewing the 2nd Layla as a (2) channel card ie; only channels 7/8 show up when creating an audio track in a normal session. I wish I knew how to get it to recognize all the channels of the 2nd card. Please, some who has had success doing this "chime in". I would deeply appreciate it.

Well guys,

I solved the problem by starting over from "square 1". Removed all the soundcards, ran the Echo Reporter, re-configed the settings to 16 tracks, and re-installed the two Layla cards. Everything seems to be working properly. Thanks again to all those who responded. I look forward to contributing to the forum.
