CAD Audio Trion 6000 microphone

Just purchased a Cad Audio Trion 6000 mic. It's a multi-pattern condensor mic Even with the 48volt phantom power on my Zoom R-16 interface I can't get very much power out of it. Should I use a seperate phantom power supply? Should I use a mic pre-amp? I'm also using Cubase LE4. I could use some tips on thickening the vocals and giving them more presence.

You might consider a Cloudlifter.

Note that I have never used one.
