Anyone have/used both these mics head to head or A/B? They seem very similar, with the CAD having 20dB instead of 10 dB pad, and being a little more expensive. Does one fit a particular application more than the other? Vocals, acoustic instruments, acoustic group such as bluegrass? Thanks.

You can hear them both on the same source (acoustic guitar), pre, etc... at http://www.thelisteningsessions.com/session5.htm.

Thanks, Flatpicker - I'd forgotten about those. I've listened to a number of them now. Unfortunately there seems to be some confusion over track numbers in my winamp player. Track 7 is labeled as 7 in the player, but 22 is 23 in the player, and likewise 21 is 22, 32 is 33, 33 is 28, and 28 is 29, so I'm not really sure if the mic I think I'm listening to is the correct one.

Yeah, Winamp drives me nuts because of that. Theres a way to make it list the file names - seems like you got to "Options" and "Preferences" and then "Options" again, and it's somewhere in there written in Japanese or some type of secret code.

Anyway, once I got it to list the filenames I just renamed the mp3s to the name of the mic.
