cables cables and how to rout CABLES!!

using a snake? through the wall? XLR jack plates in the wall, and on the other side? what do you guys do to get say....12 channels from one room to your control room, then 2 or 3 channels from a vocal room to your Control room?

with that many i'd say get a mic panel in the wall. then the mic lines leading to a patch bay. that's some heavy work ahead of you there though.

I have two rooms. In each wall I have a plate 19"x 3 1/2" with 16 XLRs in each. I built the snakes from Beldon cable (made of indivedual shielded lines, not single jacketed "snake" cable) to the patchbays in the control room.
