Lately when I've been trying to record my C1, I can't raise the levels on my mixer more than -15dB or it will feedback. Anything below that is really low and you can barely hear the input. I took my mixer out of my setup and tried it with just the preamp going into the soundcard and I can't have the pre at a normal level or it will feedback. I've tried switching my sound card's inputs to -10dB instead of +4dB but that didn't work.

This never happened before when I was recording with the C1 and I've taken extremely good care of this mic and have kept it in a very safe enviroment.

What's it feeding back from, monitors? headphones? or is it just squealing?

If you have a compressor patched in it is possible that it may be set for too much compression and could be causing the feedback.
It might also be a feedback loop in your mixer or software routing.

Good Luck.

Whyte Ice,

You could be having a few problems with gain structure, or an incompatibility with -10 and +4 levels between the mixer and soundcard despite your switching it. If you boost EQ allot, your adding gain again which can also cause a problem.

If the mic is close to your monitors, you can get a loop. You said you tried it with just your mic pre, so what mic pre are you using, and what setting on your sound card are you using? Try changing some of cables to see if there is a problem there.

My take is it is not the C1's problem, so you need to start looking elsewhere, but if it turns out to be the C1, we are behind it 100% and will take care of any existing problem for you regarding the mic.
