I just got the Waves Platinum Bundle and I was thinking to me it really isn't worth all of that money because the only thing that I use is the compressor and maximizer

poor guy

It just doesnt make sence to pay 400.00 for just few plug in's when ya have a weak mastering program like cake walk ,which really isnt one thats' when i got converted to cool edit pro and the tech support is super with them. CEP effects are just as good as waves and you get alot more of them. my 2 cents Zad

NO.... The waves reverbs are very good...you just need to turn the wet level down a bit. I think they are set too high by default. If you have R-verb or Trueverb then those are two seriously useful reverbs. They just don't have the best user presets.

I really like the EQ in CoolEditPro though. Now with 2.0 doing mixes is soooo easy and finally no more applying effects to the waveform.

I like Cool's EQ too, but I bought Ultrafunk's EQ plugin, and I prefer it simply because it's so easy to use the shelf feature. I could never figure out how to use the shelf in Cool.

Anybody?

If you're talking about the track eq, then the default for high and low are shelves. If you want them to be band, then you can right click on one of the eq bands, and a little frequency plot pops up where you can fine tune things.

Just had to jump in here

I really dig Waves Parametric EQ's. I recorded some acoustic guitar and the 180hz range was killing me. Slapped this plugin on it and dipped the range and added some highs, I ended up with a really good sound.

I'll try and post the song sometime soon.

I especially like Waves Reverbs over CEP.

The only thing i hope Waves makes better use of is that their plugins eat valuable computer usage.

Peace

You bought a big house, use only the bathroom, and say "...aaah, what a wasted house". Anything from Waves are usefull for your audio work. You'll never have any idea what you've just got if you don't know what was that for... Waves is my absoferckinloutely choice of plug ins beside Timeworks, TC, and ultrafunk. Do a little experience on them using save material. You'll need 'em sometime.
