"By The Way"

Good rockin tune - excellent guitars throughout. It does harken me back (as GOnzo's did) to the 70's when guitar players excelled. The vocals remind me of some band but I can't place it exactly - something 70's of course.....
Mix was okay - sounded really good loud :D:D:D:D
 
I can't believe I'm gonna type this, but bring those toms down. They're way too out front and frankly don't sound very good. The rest of the kit has a pretty nice raw, open kind of sound, but the playing seems kind of inconsistent and some of the hits are wongo. I know you old timers like to claim that it's "groove" and dynamics and stuff like that, but this drumming is kind of messy. The lead and rhythm guitars sound good. I think they can come up considerably.
 
thanks for the input, these are just rough mixes, keys need to be added, everything remixed etc, but it is all coming along.
