Hey .. My speakers and my recorded play back are giving me a buzzing sound. The buzzing from my speakers are not as loud as the playback but it is still noticeable. When I record and playback my recording the buzzing is extra loud. I exported the track as .wav and the buzzing was still in the recording somehow.

This is my setup

Mixer Tape Outputs - Audiophile Inputs (to record) RCA
Speakers - Audiophile Outputs (to playback) RCA
Speakers - Mixer Main Outputs (to playback instruments) 1/4

Im using Cubase SX To record. It wasn't doing this before. I've switched the RCA cords 2 or 3 times.

This is the funny thing. When I plug in RCA cord into the speaker and I put my finger on the other end of the RCA cord, the same color.. and the buzzing noise begins. It did that on all 3 cords. Is that why my recordings is catching the buzzing sound?

Thanks for your time.

Your speakers should be going from the outputs of the audiophile.

Also check your cables on different systems see if the cables r bad.

That's normal.

Sorry I meant my speakers and are going into the outputs. Ive tried the RCA cables I usually have hooked up to my DVD player, which never gave me probems I dont think .. unless the movie noise was blocking out the buzz.. But anyway that cord was unsuccesful also.

Hey forgot to ask what your pluggin into your mixer? Guitar? Mic (from amp)?

My mic goes into the mixer, I plug my MPC and Triton into it also.

But without even recording those instruments I get a sound I can have those muted. Then hit record and the buzzing sound will be in the recording.

In that case I'd say something is wrong with your mixer. It wouldn't happen to be a Behringer, would it?

You hit it right on the dime , it is unfortunately

Well try a different channel, mic, cable. You have to track it down somehow. You try muting the mic and playing the other channels?

yep Ive tried different cords on all instruments, Ive even unplugged instruments. Just a basic recording in cubase and I still get the buzz .. I dont know whats wrong

But he'll still be using the same output - the tape outs - and that may be where the problem is.

iproduce - exactly which model is it? There may be different output options you could try instead of the tape outs.

I was using the tape outs at first, Then I tried the Main Outs even tried the Mono Out lol ... Its the model sl3242fx-pro ... This is just now happening.. I remember hearing very very very little noise Now its just loud.

Well, it's sounding more and more like a bad unit. Where did you buy it? I hope it's still under warantee.

This is actually the second one I had .. I had to replace one before. I think it is the mixer, it has to be now. I put it back in the MainOut , I turned down the MainOut, and no buzz, I then turned it up loud as it would go and a world of buzzing came. I think it is the mixer, I have a small Phonic Mixer around my house somewhere, its old though.. Im going to see how that works

grounds??

hey ipeoduce, make sure all of your equipment is plugged into the same circuit in the house(I had the same problem, and it turned out that re-organizing my cords and making sure everything was run together fixed it). Also, if you are using a power strip, try another-the ground could be bad. :)

Try turning off your moniter when you record. Sound like that is where your interferance is coming from.
