I just plugged in my bass and this bitch buzzes. What gives? I still plays, but it has this buzzing sound that gets quiter when i rest my hands on the strings. This is probably some kind of grounding problem huh?

Sounds like it...is there a cover on the back you can take off and look at the wires?
Before doing anything to the guitar, try a different cable. If the buzz is still there I'd say ( like others have mentioned) it is likely to be the ground wire that goes to either the tail or the bridge (either position serves the same purpose.)
I take it that this hasn't happened before? It probably is a grounding problem. I've had issues with my bass doing that, but only under flourescent lighting..
I had to replace the jack on my bass, which ain't no joke because I have active pickups in the damn thing.
If it is a ground, if I remember right, there will be a wire which runs from your pickup post through the guitar and grounds to your tail stock. Check that first.
Damn input jacks....Thanks for the replies. Yes all the strings are the same volume. The buzz is gone now. I think it was something with the input jack because it was a little loose and wobbly. I took it apart and didn't see anything visibly wrong, so i just put it back together and made sure everything was secure. Seems to be working fine now.
