Considering buying an Aardvark 20/20 or 20/20plus.

Aardvark is selling the last few of these discontinued items.

I have been considering the Aark 24.

This is for a small home studio. I like the many IOs.

Any reasons not to get the older model?

Any major reasons to get the new model?

Pricing: (plus tax)
20/20+ $495
Aark 24 $775

What are your thoughts?

I have the Aark 20/20+. It's a good unit. Only thing that would make me upgrade is to get 24bit instead of 20bit.

If you don't need the ADAT optical maybe the 20/20 would be enough for you and save even more $?

I guess the advantage to getting the new model would be 24bit resolution, and perhaps more support. Although I've called aardvark in the not to recent past and they still support the 20/20+. Since these all use the same drivers, it looks like support should be good.

One thing I don't see mentioned is whether you still get a full 1 year warranty - you may want to ask them about this.

I am a big fan of Aardvark's stuff. It works, first of all, and sounds great.

The Aark 24 is selling for around $600 on the web. I dont know much about the 20 20.
