buying a TLM-103

Hey guys,

Could anyone tell me which on-line shop has the best price/a low price for a Neumann TLM-103?

Most shops I've checked ask for high $600s or even over $700.

Thanks a trillion.

There aren't many choices on Yahoo shopping.

Nothing on ebay.

Neumannusa doesn't do direct sales.

If I've asked this question on a wrong thread, sorry and please point me to the right one.

Surprised by this, I just looked and found 11 of the things. I don't know that you'll get a huge bargain, but they might be a tad cheaper.

I guess I searched for a hyphenated tlm-103, and missed the whole lot.

Ill have to heartily disagree with you CJ. Theres something about the way neumann does *bright* that is distinctly neumann and very present in the TLM103 which is nice on so many dif voices.

BTW, I just got those vocal tracks for that *wildcard* song. I hadnt checked my private messages in a while. I will add those beats at some point over the next week. We'll be in touch.

Put the TLM-103 up against the NTK in a blind test and I guarantee you'll pick the RODE.

I did. ;)

(...and saved some $$$ too!)
 
Rode NTK

Macle uses one, and that dude just about makes me puke over how slick his recordings are.
 
CJ - Was that a real opinion, or are you just trying to get a rise out of everyone? What sucks about it?....the way you sing through it?

So, if you don't actually own the TLM-103's, how exactly do you know they suck?

Seriously though, you only need to experience a truly "good" mic to know that the tlm103 wont cut it. Oh, neither will the NTK. On both mics, NO can do.
