Hello all... was a bit bored and decided to record this
Basically its pretty rough, everything is a "first take."
Now, what I'd like to get is some feedback and pointers on the overall mix... I have this problem... its a fear of low end -- and this fear is alive and well in this mix. Everytime I dare play around with low-mid or low freqs. I end up with a muddy mess that is also "squeezed" in character.
I use T-RackS mastering, which I really like -- and I record straight into a Mackie MDR24 using a Mackie sr24vlz console. The drums are ddrum4 kit, and the guitars are recorded direct (yeah, shocking, I know) using a Vox ToneLab. Bass is recorded using a jstation.
