Hi.
I have a BR8 eight track recording machine. I write and record my own songs. I then upload them on to my computer so that I can do a little editing on some editing software. When I am satisfied I then drag and drop my songs into windows media cd burning software (which came with the computer) to write to CD.

I have two problems and I am not sure if they are related.

After the CD has finished and closed, I get a message saying the following:

The path to the file is not correct
Windows media player cannot find the file. The server name, shared directory name, or file name may be incorrect.
Check the file name and path for any misspellings or discrepencies. If this error message persists, contact your content provider for the correct location of the file you want to play.
Error ID = 0x80070002,remedy ID = Ox00000000

Evering seems to work and play ok when play the CD back on my Hi-Fi ECCEPT that I get a loudish audible click after every song. This is the problem that concerns me most.

I thought that if I burn at slow speed it will solve the problem but it still remains the same at x4. There is plenty of space disc space on my computer as it is new.

When I play my songs back on the computer there is no click ONLY on the CD that I have burnt.

My previouse computer I had no problems. Could it be that it has something to do the CD burning software itself or the cd writer.

I woul be greatful if anyone can help me in this matter.
Paul.

I would say yes.....the software is causing your problems.
Did your CDRW not come with burning software ?
Are you writing the files as a music CD and not data ?

Hi Stealthtech
My cd writer came with my new computer and the only software that allows me to write is the windows media player. I am writing files as a music CD.
Maybe I should get something like Easy cd creator if I know that that is the problem.
Thanks for you reply.
Paul
