Burned about my burner

I've been paying for two months on a Tascam 4x12 at Mars Music. It was sold as a clearance item for $350 with the assurances that it was cheaper because the new models were coming out. That seemed fair. I paid it off today and got it home only to find everthing had been opened CD's fell from everywhere they were all streaked and smudged. Needless to say I didn't bother unpacking anything else. It was obviously used.

My question is: Could someone direct me to a more reliabel source for digital audio gear?
Mars will get their friggin cupons back too.

Oh, sorry about that. Are you looking for an external stand alone unit or an internal for a computer?

Any good computer store should have several models to choose from. Lots of online computer places but I've never used any.
 
Well, I called Mars and they assured me that if something was not functioning properly they'd take it back. Sooo... I guess I'll give it a go. Now if I can figure out how to install it. Back to instructions!
