Hey, the basement I'm using as a practice room is made of fieldstone and concrete (woa, lookout). Its 6 1/2 feet high, square like 15 feet on the floor. I've managed to pack it with old furniture and have hung a pretty dense blanket on the wall + installed a rug for some absorbtion (i know this is a pretty weak way to go about things, but when i get around to it i'll get some fiberglass panels).
The main problem, as you've probably guessed, is that hitting a high frequency, such as a snare or crash cymbol, produces a really painful ring. And by painful, i mean REALLY painful. I figured the best way to get rid of this aside from absorbing stuff is to build/buy some deflectors. Any good ideas for low budget and/or relatively easy to build models?
mind you, i'm new at this, so if deflectors arn't the best idea, i'm open for suggestions.
Thanks!
