Building Cheap Diffusion panels

Everyone is always talking about building their own sound absorption panels, but all i've heard about building diffusion panels is just to put up a bunch of plywood boards everywhere - does anyone know how to build diffusion panels (for fairly cheap) that actually sound like good diffusion panels? (by the way... i hope i'm not beating a dead horse by asking this question... i'm new on this forum and don't exactly know whats been overasked)

Anyhow, how big is the space your trying to diffuse? I've read that its only effective for more than 22' of space. Smaller than that and you'll want diffusion AND absorption.
 
The most common thing I have seen is a piece of plywood, bent to an arc against a wall.

With diffusion, "good" and "cheap" are mutually exclusive. Real diffusors are more complex than a piece of curved plywood. But they also work a lot better than curved plywood. So sharpen up your wordworking skills, and have a lookie here:
